Dad Dirty Fork Clean Dishwasher
It's Jan 1st and Dad already got on my bad side already. I had just start to empty the dishwasher but I had to stop so Mom could do my hair. So I left the Dishwasher open and just before Mom started to do my hair that Dad came out of the dinning room and was going to put his dirty dishes into a clean dishwasher so I yelled at him "Don't it's clean!" and he yelled back "You don't have to yell I heard you!"
I only yelled because he apparently can't use his eyes for anything that aren't the birds that's outside on the bird feeder.
@Disneywoman
I think this is just a case of miscommunication.
You might have to just take your dad at face value, perhaps he actually didn't hear you 💚
But I'm sorry it upset your day 💚

Dad did hear me. It's just anyone with eyes would have notice the dishwasher was still full of you know CLEAN dishes? It was stuff full of last night's dishes both supper as well as NYE Feast and Dad still almost put a a dirty fork in there.
@Disneywoman
I do understand and I know it's annoying as the dishes were clean, and you had done it, but it's not a big issue to let it continue into something bigger 💚
@Amanda84 because Dad and I are always at each other's throats we always think the other person will "Say something nasty first" so that we have fights over something like Dad putting a dirty fork into a clean dishwasher.
@Disneywoman
It's important then to try and not be at each others throats over little things that don't matter 💚
@Amanda84 It's kind of hard not to do it when a)I live with Dad and my Mom full time due to other reasons and b)Dad thinks he's knows better then everyone else
examples:
1.Like in 2014 he yelled at me for picking up a pumpkin from a field trip i had been on with my day-program but I only picked it up because Mom had changed her mind about the pumpkin.
2 Like in 2016 he thought I could get a $15 lunch at the mall
3. Also in 2016 he yelled at me for putting dirty lettuce on a dirty counter (I was going to make a salad for supper) then tried to claim that Mom's mom got sick of dirty lettuce
3. Also in 2016 he bullied me onto a scale on Tuesday just because I didn't go to the gym. Mom knew I wasn't going to the gym due to snow. (I had to walk to and from the gym).
4 .The other year he accused me of "not knowing how teamwork work" all because he bullied me into emptying the sink just because *he* wanted to make applesauce and yet the plan had been after my very looong day was that I would empty the dishwasher and Mom would refill it when she got home from choir practice
5. In 2024 Dad and I yelled at each other because when I had to go to the bathroom Dad had lowered the temp of the stove because he thought I had it "too high" I was waiting for a pot of water to boil! I need it at max to boil otherwise I'm waiting all night for my supper!
6. In Dec 2024 that Dad thought he knew better then I did about food like he asked me "if I was going to have veggies in my scrambled egg" and when I said that I had a Caesar salad on the table he yelled saying "You're not cooking the salad!" but I just was saying that Mom's motto is if i have a side of salad/veggies I don't need to put so much veggies into the main dish.
Then latter because Mom still wasn't home, I need Dad's help in making pudding due to never making it on my own. Dad thought that making the pudding in a round container would be easier if we did it Mom's old way ie shaking it with a lid on, vs the way Mom does it now: with a whisk. So when I went to get a container for the remains of the pudding I wasn't going to eat that night Dad yelled at me "I told you to get me a lid!" and then I told him to go back into the family room and I will handle the rest of the pudding mixing and yet I had never mixed the pudding before.
Then there's plenty of other stories as well.
