Dad has a fit when I scream about stuff like Ants in food
So I'm kind of annoyed Dad hates when I scream about something I don't know how to deal with for example a fire on the stove or ants in Timbits. So i don't scream about everything.
I'm going to start with today's example:
Mom and I went to the mall in Pickwick (I need to get away from Dad for awhile) the last time we did was get Timbits before coming home (we had supper at East Side Mario's). We're having ant problems at home but we forgot about the ants. And I never been taught on how to deal with ants in food like Timbits. Its my job to distributed the 6 Chocolate and four birthday cake Timbits between me and Mom. I saw something in the box I thought at first it was sprinkles from the birthday cake one. But it's only when I saw and got rid of an ant on the outside of the box I then noticed more ants in the box. So I screamed "Mom there's ants in the box" and it took me a second scream for mom to come out. and Dad had a fit about "I thought you're on fire with how you're screaming!" I mean the ants gave me a attack because I thought it meant we couldn't eat the Timbits.

So sometime in the past when I was starting to cook (2016/2017?) something I can't remember what happened and it start a fire on the stove (well at least the smoke part) and no one taught me what to do. So I screamed and Dad got mad at me for doing it because "they thought I was hurt" while Mom did the work to stop the fire or smoke happening (especially when Dad's version of "dealing with smoke" is turning on the fans even when stove fan is very noisy for my ears).

It's hard within families, when we all process our feelings very differently 🩷
It's about learning what works for each individual person 🩷

@Amanda84 I mean I wasn't expect ants to be in the Timbits box even though I know we have ant problem in the spring. So any wonder I screamed since I didn't know what to do.
@Disneywoman
Yes, it was unexpected and you got a fright 🩷
