Emotionally unavailable partner

sorry no one answered you. I think it is not a one size fits all thing. 

Have they always been emotionally unavailable?   do they have trouble with emotional items.  if you need the emotional connection and support you would need to let them know.  I had to speak up that my partner was not emotionally available. 

I feel most partners can learn to overcome these things if they are truly in love.  it is not perfect, but some effort is better than what it was.
