Ex still giving mix signals.

Hi! I was in a 3-year long-distance relationship with my Dutch ex. I'm a Filipina living in the Philippines.

Before the start of this year, I asked for time and space because I was overwhelmed by the thought of moving to his country. I felt that I needed some time with my family, especially since my mom passed away while I was with him in the Netherlands during the pandemic lockdown. After a few months, I reached out to him because I realized that I couldn't bear the thought of losing someone else dear to me. I know it was selfish, but I realized I couldn't lose him completely. However, when I tried to reconnect, he told me his feelings had faded and he had started dating a girl from Japan. Their relationship didn't last, and he gave signs that he was waiting for the right time for us to reunite, believing we could mend our relationship. But last month, I discovered he's dating another Asian girl who lives in Amsterdam, just an hour's drive from his hometown. I've decided to cut ties with him, but it's hard, especially since he still checks in on me.
