Feeling betrayed by husband
I found out my spouse has been sharing our marital issues and my intent to divorce to his sister, without my knowledge. I felt wronged and my gut feeling has been telling me that these has been happening for a awhile now considering his episodes of going out after an argument
It is my fault that I went through his phone while he was not around and his sister had sent a video making fun of my situation where a woman challenged her husband for divorce and cry
The date coincides with the day that i had asked him for a divorce on a day we had an argument..
i felt wronged, embarassed that our issue got out and most importantly,. I felt like my privacy was violated, i felt like husband was oppressing me…when i called him
His exact words were that
i have been a burden to him since he married me and when I get back I’ll slap you
After which he did not come home that day… leaving me with my 2 year old for the night… i went to call my mom for support and went off to my parent’s this morning for emotional support.
i went for a good run, listened to songs, prayed, tried compartmentalising.

Threatening to slap you is unacceptable. If this “usual”, it is abusive. I feel for you. Make sure you take good care. If for you it’s not really over… Would he agree to couple therapy? Hang in there and make sure you are safe…

Did you think the issues or the very possible divorce would be secret? If this was something you planned on working on together and did not need to go farther? leaving the divorce word out may have kept it that way.
Was this a serious decision that you are ready to do... filing for divorce ...or was this thrown in conversation for shock factor or expecting him to beg for forgiveness for whatever your issues are?
When you come out and ask for a divorce that opens the door to sharing IMO .... some people seek advice/ support of what can i do to fix or advice on next steps.
Many married people when having issues share with someone...family, friends or even professional counselor.......... talk about what is going on and get other perspectives ............while i think an impartial person or counselor would be a better choice, he confided in his support person.
By you telling mom and going to your parents for support does not do the same thing to him?
People in arguments and stressed that something huge like a divorce is coming .........often say things they do not mean like the slapping you comment. Sounds like he stayed away perhaps to calm down and give you time to reflect as well .
It sounds like you both have some bad communication skills and IF you wanted private you should be mature enough to talk and listen and see marriage takes 2 to work.
