Feeling lost and sad.

I supported a girl 8 years ago when she was jobless and frustrated. I helped her find a job and paid for her studies. We fell in love, got engaged, and are planning to marry. But before the wedding, she started putting pressure on me to have my own house, saying it was necessary to impress her family and that she didn't want to live with my parents. I noticed she had anger issues and suggested we rethink our plans if she couldn't manage her temper. Her response was that she'd be fine once I had a house—no house, no peace. Fast forward a few years, I bought a flat, and we moved forward with the wedding plans. But then she started criticizing my looks—gained weight, hair loss—and said she couldn't handle it anymore. When I told her I was working on it, she started daily fights. I'm stressed, feeling trapped, and wondering if I'm doing something wrong. What should I do?"

@quietStrings8470,

so she wasn't fine after you got your own place, and I guess deep down your intuition told you.

She has issues, and rather than confronting them, she takes it out on you. If she refuses to take responsibility and work on herself, you should ask yourself if sticking around is gonna make you happy.
