Friendship problems
I really need to share it with someone so why not here.
Not long ago I reconnected with an old friend. We stopped talking because of my emtnal health and honestly I wasn't able to continue the friendship. So I tried to reconnect with her but it didn't end well. She ended up just making me mad and feeling even worse. She's very religious and is trying to push her beliefs on me. And yesterday it was completely the same. Also I forgot to mention due to my mental health talking to other people makes me sooooo tired. It's like I'm running a marathon or something. So I blocked her because I'm tired of making efforts and being nice to people who try to force their religious beliefs on me. And anyways she was talking almost only about that when we used to talk more. So now I have absolutely no friends. Honestly I don't feel any difference because she wasn't such a nice friend. I feel kinda more free to go and meet new people. I have thought about several options so I might try that out. But tbh the only thing I want right now is to be left alone. I am just tired of people. They such sometimes and they betray too. I think I have trust issues right now and don't know what to do about it because to start a friendship you need trust. I have so many thoughts in my head right now and so lost. I guess I should just leave it behind(anyways I blocked her) and start to live in the present moment. Lately I've been struggling with it badly. I hold on to the past so much! All failed friendships, fake friends that hurt me, family problems, hurtful words from family members. I'm always imagining how life would have been better if only I had more support. If only my dad was emotionally available and nice to me. If only I had real friends. I am drowning in these memories.
Any ideas how to let go of the past and just go on with my life? It's really ruining my mood right now.

I think we all have made that mistake and reconnected with some old friend forgetting or hoping their habits or personality changed. that she would not just be pushing her beliefs on you. Some re-connection like this is showing us we cannot go back. we are different people now. A bad friend is NOT better then no friend.
Sometimes we hold on to older friends/ family and ideas for the what if theory that maybe we could have a do-over.
For all the this could have been better " IF" this or that had happened thoughts ........we never consider things would had been different...but things could also have been worse. Since we never can find out we always assume the best.... same idea as the butterfly effect.
Many may think like this....... but some let this hold them back i have known some who led lives with bad choices and constant crisis and used the IF only idea as the reason things were not going well instead having faith in themselves to move forward.
