Hello! I got broken up with abt 5 months ago. I started healing. But I met a girl online last month we talk reallyyy much and we give us many compliments and like eachother. One day she admitted that she's becoming a little tiny crush on me and I also like her a little. Shes really pretty and so nice and fun to talk to. But now I'm scared that I'll fall for her. Because I'm still healing. I can't ghost her. But I feel a little panic when I think of that it could happen that I catch a little more feelings. I don't want to experience the whole love stuff again. (Especially not now) . It makes me feel so so so anxious. And that she's crushing on me makes it not easier. I can't think of a solution I really need help. Thanks for reading.

i get you are healing or getting over a breakup....  you made a friend and started talking certainly you told her you are getting over a breakup?   and can tell her you want to slow down ...... if not why did you not tell her....

do you think a connection like LOVE happens all the time .... can we schedule feelings when we are ready in the right place in our lives etc..... NO we can't

life happens and we can only react sometimes ....it is like improvisation ...there is not a script ... there is not always a convenient time for a plot twist.

you could have a conversation with this girl about where you're at emotionally and share with her that you are still in the process of healing from your past relationship, and while you enjoy her company and are interested in getting to know her better, you want to take things slow to make sure you're both on the same page. it doesn't mean you have to shut down the connection altogether because you are just setting emotional boundaries and being mindful of your own emotions and pacing the relationship in a way that feels comfortable for you. I think this will allow you to continue enjoying each other's company without rushing into anything too serious before you're ready
