Hangout with friends

Wife and I had a fight last night. Yesterday group of work friends wanted to get together. I asked her if I could join them after work. She said that was ok and have fun. Do to the nature of my job we didn’t get the details figured out till I was off my shift. I shared them with her.

I met up with friends and the place they picked was actually a bar, not what their site link said. I felt no big deal. We hanged out talking shop and all. I had one beer at the beginning but then water for the rest of the time (few hours). Stayed later then I thought so headed home.

now my wife is *** because I went out and was late. Mad that I had a beer. Saying that I should be with family not hanging out with friends and not having beer especially when I have been hesitant about drinking with her lately because of my job.

I will admit I was at first a little extreme at first. But I have relaxed with it with drinking reasonably with her and her friends. So I didn’t see a problem with a beer with friends.

She is all mad and making all sorts of false accusations. So. It sure how to handle this. It was simply a few guys chatting. Something I haven’t done for years. She has gone out with friends at least once a month, so feel that I can’t have one night is a little unfair.
