Help with moving on
How does one erase all the memories of a person and just forget them?
I don't think that technology has been invented yet but in the meantime, be patient with yourself, unfortunately it just takes time.
Don't put them on a pedestal, but take the good times with you and leave the bad behind. You might not be over it yet so it can be overwhelming.
Did you feel you got closure? If not you could pour your feelings out in a letter and say what you want.
I try and persevere with my daily responsibilities, even if I don't feel good. I also try and treat myself and what I've noticed is, I can't control my thoughts but I can say, I'm not ignoring you but I don't have the strength for you today, come back later on.
You will eventually cope better :)

I do not think we forget people who had an impact on our lives. People we had a close relationship with imprint on us.
I take it like a book the next chapter will be missing characters from the last chapter. We just adjust that that character was written out of the rest of the story. later you may be able to see you learned something or other events happened when we were with X .. we will just see past growth and not issues we had with X that ended that chapter.
It's easy to say but Human brain not designed to delete anything permanently
yeah but with time, you just start feeling indifferent to memories with a person...it just won't matter
Only bad memories left and good remains with you. It fades you stop missing like daily habits. whatever you see small things related to them you remember of that one person only not others.
I'm my case is different or maybe it just short timeline

Hey there. I think it is practically impossible to erase memories of a person and just forget them. You may have fond or despicable memories of someone. That impression of them remains in your mind for as long as you let it. The only way to feel or be reminded less is by setting your brain to something else entirely. The past slowly starts to blur.
True, the only way out is through....but it would have been great if something like that was practically possible ð¥²
