@lotusflowerlove4 Hello, I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing relationship PTSD as a result of your past with a cheating ex. It's understandable that such experiences can leave a lasting impact on your emotional well-being, even when you're in a healthy and loving relationship now. First and foremost, it's important to acknowledge that healing takes time and patience. It's commendable that you've found an amazing partner who supports you, but addressing your own emotional wounds is crucial for your own well-being and the health of your current relationship. Consider seeking professional help from a therapist or counsellor who specializes in trauma and relationship issues. They can provide you with the tools and techniques to work through your anxiety, panic attacks, and PTSD. Therapy can offer a safe space to explore your emotions, process past experiences, and develop healthy coping mechanisms. Additionally, practising self-care is essential. Engage in activities that bring you joy and help you relax. This could be anything from exercise and meditation to creative outlets or spending time in nature. Take care of your physical and mental health by maintaining a balanced lifestyle and establishing healthy boundaries in your current relationship.
Remember to be patient with yourself throughout this healing process. It's okay to have ups and downs, and progress may come in small steps. Surround yourself with a strong support system of friends and loved ones who can provide understanding and encouragement along the way.
You deserve happiness and a healthy relationship, and with time, healing, and support, it is possible to overcome the effects of past trauma. Take care of yourself and reach out for the assistance you need.
