I am alone
I feel like my marriage and relationship itself is going downhill. I recently gave birth in March and encountered something i didn't think could happen there. My husband got mad at me and ignored me just after I gave birth and was moved into my room. Then when leaving the hospital he didn't help me into the car or out when we arrived home. That same day he again got mad at me and ignored me again for 3 days but this time he locked himself in the room and didn't help me with the newborn or my 3yr old or dog. I cried myself to sleep realizing he didn't care to help. When the baby was about 1 month I asked him to watch her at which time he told me it wasn't his job. And that if i wanted him to watch the kids then I could go get a job sincei couldn't do mine right. I'm a stay at home mom. I asked him to watch her so I could cook. Side note. During my first month postpartum, I was still washing clothes, cooking, throwing the trash, taking the dog out to do is business, and going up the stairs to put my toddler to sleep. Everything i was doing before with no help. Things that got in the way of my healing and no joke, set me back I just wanted to cook with no baby attached to me. Now, at 2.5 months, I asked again if he could watch her so i could make breakfast and he told me to go get a job then and he would get someone who could take of him and the kids to come to the house since I'm a horrible mother and that I'm a nanny since I need/ want help. I should be able to do it all on my own. He's a trucker who's gone 5 days a week so I'm doing this on my own anyways. I tired to tell him that being a dad was life now and he should be helping when or if I ask. He was more helpful when our first was born. Way more helpful. I just feel alone and like this marriage is only going to get worse. He told me to take our daughter, the newborn, to the kitchen so she could start learning. I'm losing hope on a daily basis. I just needed to vent and some comforting words from people. I have no friends and those I've tried to talk to don't respond, life gets in the way I know, or just don't ask what's going on with me. I also don't talk to my siblings as there is a rift between all of us. So the only person I talk to about how I'm feeling is my husband. Hence why I say I'm alone.
Thank you for reading. Sorry it's long.
@Stargazernow
It sounds like a very stressful time for both of you.
I know it sounds odd, but a first baby seems to get the attention and help from spouse. Baby #2 or more some spouses seem to think it is automatic. Like we got this even though we feel we need more help than we did with first one.
I am sorry you cannot talk with your spouse when we do not have an outlet feelings and things add up on us. Maybe he is not sharing with you either. It must be stressful to be away from you and kids and also stressful with a growing family to take care of. Not sure if it is same but maybe he thinks you have it easier. My spouse has made odd comments that tick me off like he could do things better. Well, he is now doing somethings at home and finding out it is much harder than he imagined.
