I think I lost my love because we broke up about 3 weeks ago because I made a mistake and we just talked 2 weeks ago where she told me that she just needs time to heal but we aren't texting except that we still text each other "goodnight I love you" every night.

I think it's clear that I have to give her that time to heal but a listener said that I should still show her my love but I'm confused about how that works because we don't have really contact and don't see each other and I don't want to ask her if we could meet because that wouldn't be "giving time" and she normally asked me that so mabey that does mean that she doesn't want me to meet with her pls help

@communicativeApple9560 first of all i'd like to start by saying thank you for sharing this with us!
giving time to a person that you deeply love can be very difficult to do, especially if you are very attached to them.
i think the best way to show her that you still love her is to give her the time that she said she wants :) sometimes giving them time is the best way you can show them that you love them!

Hi Apple! 😊❤️ Thank you for your forum post and for sharing of yourself with us. I know that many times it takes courage to do so!

I can understand that this can be a really hard thing to go through and it makes a great deal of sense to me that it could be a bit confusing on how to proceed. I think that the two of you, still being in contact, is a good sign even if the contact is quite minimal.

I think that you are in very good hands here with Kate.❤️ I could not agree with them more. I agree that showing love and dedication to another sometimes can come in the form of respecting anothers boundaries. This shows maturity, restraint and respect for the wishes of another.

*high fives* 😊 and *hugs* ❤️

Hi Apple! I want to start off by saying I completely agree with both Kate and Sparky and based off what I've read in your post, it seems that you are doing well by using your best judgement and giving her the time she needs to heal as you are respecting her boundaries. The best thing you can do is give your partner the time that she needs as it shows you are respecting her boundaries. As time goes on, hopefully those messages at night will develop into conversations if you continue to give her that time she needs to heal. If all continues to go well, you could ask her "What can I do for you to make you feel supported?" (The word 'supported' is interchangeable with loved, cared about, or comfortable). This way she feels seen and listened to. Some people just need to know that you understand and will try your best effort to meet their needs. Of course, this can only be asked once further contact is established off her end. I hope this helps! 🙂
