I don’t know what to do:(
for some context, me and my boyfriend have been together for two years. however I would like to point out this is a ldr, and he wants me to visit him this December.
I don’t feel happy anymore and I don’t know how to tell him. He struggles with mental health, severely. I don’t want to hurt him, but he had hurt me so many times and I don’t have anything left to give. He’s my first boyfriend and I’m not really sure what to do or what to say, how to say, y’know? I want to be respectful and kind, but I know we will both be upset and most likely argue:(
tell him how you’re feeling an talk about it, I know it’s going to hurt you and him but you need to let your feelings be known, it’s better to talk about it than leading him on
, as a person who’s been on the side of being lead on it’s better to go ahead an tell him, I know it will hurt him but it will hurt him way more if you keep going knowing your not happy instead of telling him how your truly feelings
Thanks, I know but I’m actually rather scared to tell him. I left out so many details in that because I was sleepy haha, but I appreciate the comment. I know I would be “leading” him on but I also feel like he is too leading me on but he can’t be caught doing something wrong or else he flips out. Anyways, thank you ♡

find a man who is mentally well. You aren’t his therapist. Continuing to invest time into this relationship will be a sunk cost especially bc you say you aren’t happy
I completely understand I’ve been through something like that myself, but the best thing to always do is tell him how you truly feel, you can’t overcome it if it’s never brought to the light, I hope you do what is best for you an your relationship an wish you the absolute best🤍
Hi there! I know how it feels. The situation must be really hard for both of you. However, I want to tell you that your feelings are valid. You matter and it's okay to take positive steps towards your mental well - being. 💛
How do you think you would have liked someone else to share this with you?
Keeping yourself in his shoes may help you get some clarity about the do's and don'ts and the way to effectively communicate your feelings with respect and kindness.🌸
Thank you, I mean, I would like the person to tell me. He hides a lot of things from me, emotionally. I do keep myself in his shoes almost every day, I have to for us to be happy. I’m trying to piece together the right things to say. Thank you for the sweet reply ♡
You're most welcome! And it's totally understandable. 🤗💛
Hope you're taking care of yourself. Don't be too hard on yourself.

you both definitely need to sit down and have a nice, civil conversation where you clearly state your thoughts/ emotions/ feelings etc just to get any closure, but its important to remember that you need to prioritise yourself! you matter too and it seems like the relationship is just emotionally draining you - just remember to try and be sensitive about his feelings, but also put yours first.
hope this helps :)
