I fell for a Narcissist

I wrote a poem:

Your love it was a magic show,

It was all an illusion, all for control,

And now...

I know.

You reeled me in with all your words,

The intensity you came with into my world

Was like a bullet,

You shot straight through.

You made me believe that I

Was honoured enough to be your Valentine

Oh if I'd only known

You were all consumed in yourself no-one

Would ever compare

To the love affair

Between you and your ego.
