I’m unsure on how to get back into dating
I’m 17 y/o male, 18 in 2 months. I struggle to make friends and have addressed that as a separate issue. Over the last 3 years I’ve had two relationships where they’ve ended with a false accusation of sexual misconduct. The first deprived me of any interaction with them and then made an accusation so they’d be justified in cheating on me, the second had a pregnancy scare after we had consensual relations (she invited me over specifically to do it) and she used it as an excuse to avoid getting any blame from her parents before they bought her test. I do find a lot of enjoyment about being in a caring relationship with a girl where we can mutually trust each other and have deep conversations that we wouldn’t share with others as it makes me feel cared for. I always have liked that feeling of being chosen but I find that I can only get a relationship if I choose to interact with someone and that instantly reduces my choices. I just want someone to come to me and get to know me rather than me have to actively seek out someone who isn’t interested in a genuine connection. I know it would be easier if I hadn’t had things happen in the past but I am very guarded because I don’t want any repeats of these incidents. Is there any way I can circumvent these problems without completely removing my standards?

Is this an arsenal fan I see? 🥰
I'm sorry youve had bad experiences.
I appreciate your honesty.
Dating is never easy.
And it requires efforts in both sides.
It doesn't just happen.
It helps to get out and meet people organically , through a shared interest so that you get to know each other first before it becomes on a physical level .
Too many people rush into this nowadays and end up feeling like it's an entitlement but intimacy is a shared experience that's not guaranteed or promised.
It's dependent on trust and building something together 💛

Firstly, I’m glad that the first thing you said was about the profile picture, yes I am an Arsenal fan 😂
I often don’t like speaking up about my hardships but I will always be honest about myself and my experiences, yet I find I still don’t exactly feel trusted when others know I’d never lie to them. I’m known for being smart and that means I’m presumed to be deceitful as it is a stereotype that both traits go hand in hand. As I say, I’ve been cheated on so I’d never lie as I have a firsthand experience of the repercussions.
But I guess other people don’t always see the same things as I do

I wouldn't care about other people's opinions especially as they are wrong , you deserve to want the values you expect back 💛 I was so glad youse finally got the league over the line but I fairly cursed ye Sunday gone by , not going to lie, as a Leeds fan 💛🩵🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Without any offence meant, you guys will definitely bounce back, you have a good squad and I had them put down as getting conference league this year, so if I were you I’d be happy with the result and look forward to the rest of your season because I think it’ll be a good one.
