How do you know when a relationship is just over. He still acts like all is fine, but I just feel dead to it all. Hes a combat veteran with cptsd and tbi. He's low key verbally abusive and manipulative. My anxiety is always high, and I feel like I need to walk on eggshells around him. I get blamed constantly. I hate trying to do any kinda project with him because if it doesn't go perfect, he Flys off the handle. He's unemployed, hasn't worked in a year and has many many health issues. I basically take care of him. I'm so burnt out and over it.

@Unrequiteddreamer86

It is over.... if that is what you want

There is no prize for hanging in there taking low level abuse and walking on eggshells all the time... we may think we are saints for putting up with all the BS .... but we are kidding ourselves.... we grow angry not at him but at ourselves for not leaving ... there is no "right " time .... not when he is in better shape / working again etc.      ask yourself what do you want deep down then you will know if it is OVER

You’ve done so much for this person it sounds.

No one deserves to be verbally, mentally or physically abused.

Mental illness requires professional help.

you need to be strong for yourself first if you want to help another person.

I can’t tell you the answer…you already know it.
