Is the friendship lost?

I have a guy friend who I have been hanging out with for the past year, we have great banter and I really like being with him. We have made out a couple of times but I’ve been the one to remind him that we’re just friends.

Well about 2 weeks ago I found out that he’s been having sex with other girls. I don’t know why but at the time I got so incredibly upset and jealous and I made it be known. In the midst of my jealousy I was confused why that was upsetting me that much if I myself had made it clear that we’re just friends. I did some reflecting and I actually realized that I have deeper feelings for him that of a friend.

I did send him an apology for getting jealous since it was not in my place to do so since we’re just friends. I also did tell him how I feel about that I like him as more than a friend although I don’t know what that means yet because this is something that I barely realized myself so I don’t know if my feelings are at the point where I would want a relationship with him. He left those messages on seen.

I’m so sad thinking that I ruined things between because of the whole mess I made by getting jealous when I shouldn’t have. And also thinking that he doesn’t want to be my friend anymore at the very least. I don’t know what to do to fix things between us

It takes two people to break a connection and you did apologise for getting upset and angry. You didn’t initially realise your feelings, but once you did, were honest about them. Don’t beat yourself up about it, he might be processing things to see how he feels about it all.
