Is this weird?
hey. My mom has a boyfriend (I don’t want to post his name here though). I have never met him or really talked to him. I have only heard things about him through my mom, hear him speak, and I saw a picture of him one time. The thing is I have a friend with the same name as my mom’s boyfriend. I like my friend and I think he likes me too.
On one hand I feel fine with it because I don’t actually talk to my mom’s boyfriend buttt when I think of my mom and I having boyfriends with the same name I feel like it is weird.
I don’t know what to do because I like my friend but I also don’t want to do something weird. Does anyone have input or advice?

It happens especially if it is a common name. many people will give a person a nickname to avoid confusion of whom you are talking about.
