It’s done, life is over…

This past week has been rough. Me and my gf of 8 months broke up while she was in college. I'm 21 she's 18, but it seemed like we had the world to ourselves real soon. She'd always tell me how I want you and no one else and I'm never breaking up with you and I'm never going to cheat on you, even when I fear it. Well last week it just came out of the blue. She texted me saying she was losing feelings and I wanted a way to fix it because, yes, I have to admit, it was either her or I was done with life cause I couldn't go through heartbreak anymore. But later that night I started getting a gut feeling that another person was involved. So I asked her to tell the truth so I could be at peace. She said she had feelings but didn't do anything. Basically admitting that she emotionally cheated. Then turns out not even a day or so later she's already onto this new guy. Pretty much a rebound, and I just haven't been like this for awhile. I feel like I just lost all my happiness for a long time and I'll be damned if she ever comes back. Like we want to not be strangers and we're both still hurt over this. I just don't know what to do and I feel like giving up…

It just doesn’t add up or make sense. It’s not like the relationship was toxic, we were the best things we ever had. Some of my friends are like she’ll come back, even if it takes awhile. But as of now I’m just praying for a miracle. And even when we’re friends and are on good terms, it’s just not gonna be the same. It really won’t…

@warmheartedLychee5617 Thanks for opening up about it. You're going to get through this and that's what's important. Speaking from experience, one day you'll wake up happy next to someone who loves you without question and maybe share this trauma. You'll look back on this and wonder why it was a huge factor in your blip in life. I hate when time is the only thing on our side.

@warmheartedLychee5617

you are both young ... and when away at college her world is opening up ...

with any new chapters in life and people feel they can or should spread their wings ... even new friends can inspire people to change what they once felt comfortable with.

they want to try new adventures and see and try new things. Many let go of past relationships at this point... it is not about the other guy but she sees more options then she saw before...
