I am not happy and I am not going to be happy unless things change in my marriage. I love my husband very much. We have been married for almost 10 years but I feel so alone. We have no intimacy at all. We don’t talk we don’t touch hardly at all and when we do, it feels forced and awkward half of the time we don’t even sleep in the same room. I miss having a relationship with him. I tried to talk to him, but he just tells me he’s not good at that kind of stuff one night when we tried to be intimate it didn’t work out and he said he’s just a big disappointment, he’s not though I told him there are other things we can do and he just went to sleep and nothings changed. I keep putting myself out there and I just get nothing. I don’t know what to do. We don’t laugh together much I know I’m a big disappointment to him but is it because I’m unhappy and depressed or is it just who I am if I could get better I know I have it in me to make things better, but what if he just doesn’t love me anymore I don’t know how I’ll handle that.

You are definitely not alone many of us out here.. in same or similar shoes.... my partner things were not working correctly in the intimacy department.... they do NOT want to talk about it  even to maybe a doctor etc.... mine just shut down because he did not want the subject to be brought up. he avoids hugs or anything worried i want more etc.    it is living as roommates and even if they tell you they love you.... it feels hollow.

First a person may feel it is them i changed hair / clothes/ shampoo and toothpaste .... all because he just avoided me.

When he finally fessed up a medication he needs for another condition basically ended our private life. it has caused issues in him not even thinking what he put me through in feeling less then / unattractive  etc.

IT is NOT you it is him ... he may not want to talk about it.......... but if you think it is you ........it sucks all your self esteem.    depending on the reasons it may never be as it was and both of you need to figure out what is needed for both partners.   Otherwise believe me it is a recipe for someone being ready or maybe on the fence on and outside of relationship situations.

i know men go through a lot are not good often to speak up about issues and yet they also seem clueless that a person lonely in a relationship and feeling less then can find themselves swept away if someone makes them feel all the things they are missing.
