NARCISSISTIC RELATIONSHIP!
I’ve never really told anyone how I’ve been treated but here it is. I’ve been in an on and off relationship for about 4 years and we have a child who is 3. When we first met I was so in love with him and just felt so drawn to him but immediately after us getting together he has cheated countless times and has also abused me physically. I am so nice to him I don’t understand why I am being treated this way. He’s even smothered pillows over my face to suffocate me. I’ve been punched in the face and given black eyes to the point where I couldn’t leave my home for two weeks. His mom knew about the abuse and kept it a secret and never did anything about it. He would also do loving things at the same time like buy me things and hold me and cry and tell me he’s sorry so it really started to confuse my brain. I remember days where I would not be doing anything to him and he would just beat me for literally no reason. He also does this thing where he just ignores me out of nowhere for days and vaguely answers texts so i’m left blowing up his phone wondering what i did wrong. i know i have to leave but i have no help. no family no friends. no mom or dad. just me and my child, financially i am not doing well due to me being so anxious and depressed as a result of this draining relationship. i am a couple months behind on rent ive been evicted before. my last option is to move states and finally be done with this but like i stated before financially im not in a place to. i need help in what to do to finally leave this relationship. i’ve called the police before and he only was in jail for two weeks. now im afraid to call the police they really don’t help and i honestly don’t want to deal with courts. i just really want to be done with this relationship it’s so draining depending on him emotionally bc he knows i have no one else. his family knows how abusive he is yet they still defend him with everything he does. i don’t know what i did to deserve this im always there for him and was even there for him when he was homeless and he’s never there for me.
and lastly everyone tells me that i’m such a pretty girl and to move on and everytime i do the next guy treats me like *** too. i’m so lonely and depressed all the time i keep going back to my abusive relationship bc it’s all i have.

leaving a relationship is never easy or simple. Something that has stuck with me “we attract/welcome the love we think we deserve” you need to boost up that confidence, self esteem and heal your wounds.
do u have any tips on how to boost my self confidence? or any tips on healing? that’s great advice thank you!
And never give up!!! You and your child deserve so much better. Break the cycle. You got this 💪
From my experience, I would suggest finding a good therapist NOW. If you are serious about leaving, you need help and support. Don’t concern yourself over the “next” relationship either. Focus on your here and now and providing and love for you. Get to know what you enjoy. What you don’t. Read books on co dependency. It’s not something that changes over night but is something you can achieve!!!!
I will definitely find a therapist asap! This is really good advice thank you. I feel like as soon as I leave him greater things will fall into place.

It looks like you have some great help!
Your ex’s treatment of you is not your fault at all. He has problems inside of him that can’t be fixed by you or anyone else. He needs professional help, and he needs to want that.
I agree with @peachThinker662 on everything! It definitely is time to take care of you and I can’t imagine doing it without help and support. Even without family or friends, I think there is a good community here that is available. Therapists can also help. If you are limited in finances, some therapists can adjust their fees. There are people who can be with you each step of the way toward building your self esteem, confidence, and a better life for you and your child.
Please let me know if I can offer any other support even if it is only encouragement!
