Need honest advice
Need some honest advice, think I already know the answer just need to hear it from someone who's unbiased.
Been seeing a guy since the end of November, in January said he missed his ex and wasn't ready for a relationship yet but still wanted to see me. Saw me pretty consistently *** but still not as much as before then. But he hasn't asked to see me since the beginning of April. We were going to hang out again the next weekend (my idea but then he didn't text me for a week and never brought it up. But still texts me even now? He's never been a consistent texter but does still text. I asked him what he's been up to lately (I told myself maybe he's just busy but deep down I know) and he did say he's been going out every weekend. So. 🫠don't even know what to respond back.
Is he trying to get me to lose interest?
Why not just tell me or ghost me?
Should I ask if he wants to see me? Or just cut my losses

In a situation like that i think you should ask and not guess.Â
it would be nice if people were honest and told others i think that is better then just ghosting someone. You deserve to not hold on and be a backup in case whatever his relationship with his ex has become.... Â

It sounds like you're feeling uncertain about where things stand with this guy, and that's completely understandable given the mixed signals you've been receiving. From what you've described, it seems like he's been inconsistent in his actions and communication with you since January. Saying he misses his ex and isn't ready for a relationship, but still wanting to see you, followed by a decline in effort to meet up, could indicate that he might not be as invested in this relationship as you are. I have been in a relationship that lasted a year and a half with my BF wanting his ex and saying he loves us both. In the end I was Hurt the most. I lost self esteem and Got anxiety daily...Â
The fact that he hasn't asked to see you since April, despite still texting, and mentioning he's been going out every weekend, raises some valid questions about his intentions. It's natural to wonder if he's trying to indirectly signal disinterest or keep things casual without being upfront about it.
In situations like these, communication is key. You could consider asking him directly about his feelings and intentions moving forward. Express how you've been feeling and seek clarity on where he sees this relationship going. This conversation can provide you with the clarity you need to make informed decisions about your own feelings and whether this relationship aligns with what you want.
However, if his actions and lack of initiative continue to leave you feeling unsure and undervalued, it might be worth considering whether this relationship is meeting your emotional needs. You deserve someone who prioritizes you and makes their intentions clear.
Ultimately, trust your instincts and prioritize your own happiness and well-being. Whether you choose to have a candid conversation with him or decide to cut your losses, remember that you deserve a relationship where you feel valued and secure. Your time should not be wasted on someone who isnt ready to date you. You could be so busy focus on him and the negative emotions it brings from his mixed signals that you miss out on a man who would want you and willing to invest in you
@persistentMango4391Â Maybe you still have hope for him: maybe he doesn't think so in his heart, maybe he is careless... and so on. I don't want this to happen to you. It is very likely that he found you during the gap between him and his ex. He doesn't like you much, but when you really want to establish a relationship, he starts to shirk. I think it is obvious that he is using you as a "backup". So even if he is a very good man, all the things he did to you were not intentional, and he really loves you. So do you really want a man who doesn't care about his partner's emotions and opinions? So no matter what the situation is, I think you shouldn't give him another chance.
