Playing the same "Game" as Dad of leaving lights on in his Room

So I'm live with my parents as  disabled 35 year old woman.  Yes I do know Dad;s the one paying the bill/tax for lights.   Even before he got his new glasses he devloped a habbit after about 10pm at night on turning my one bedroom light on to "help me get to the bedroom" after he has turned the stairwells light off even though no one has gone to bed yet.   Which is really annoying on Fridays when I have dishes-bowl and mug to bring down.

He's still doing that now even with his new glasses and he's still doing that "turning on my bedroom light" business.    I'm starting to have enough of it  and I'm starte to "playing the same game as dad" ie giving Dad a taste of his own medicine by deliberately turning on 2 unnecessary lights in Dad's room, to see if he's gets annoyed- the one on what used to be Mom's side of the bed, and the bathroom light.

Mom doesn't understand how annoying it is for me to constantly have my bedroom light on when I don't need, it and no one is going directly to bed since sometimes both Dad and I are up to 1am in the morning.   And she doesn't understand I'm turning on a different light because the light Dad leaves on in his own room is already is on.    When i tried to tell mom today she's was like "let's stop aruging and let me listen to the music" (on the radio).

@Disneywoman

I know it's annoying, but not worth losing too much sleep over it.

Just turn on a light if and when you need it 💙

@Amanda84 The problem is I'm sick of my Dad turning on a light I don't *** need when I'm not going to bed any time soon!  He's constantly been turning on this particular liight every single night and I'm completley sick of it.

It's why I'm playing the same "game" as him by turning on uncessary lights to give him a taste of his own medience.
