Problems with staying over night at friends making small talk with their hubbies.
I am over 30 and still living with my parents, which is annoying. Someone suggested I some nights with my friends but my Mom might not agree. i have five friends- Sage, Lucy, Kira, Shelby and Carmen-all Married with children. i meet Sage's husband at prom, and Shelby's husband in Drama class. Kira's husband is older and he saw me on a train once. I haven't meet Lucy's husband yet. I introduced myself to Carmen's husband James in Fall of 2023 because our families live nearby.
James and I talked again on Christmas Eve while I waited for Carmen to come back with her gift. I had already given gifts to the children and treats to the entire family. While I waited James and I talked for a few minutes
Being away overnight is not good because I wouldn't have access to my computer which is difficult. for me. I might have to sleep on a couch like mom does at home, if they have no rooms for me. Children might be noisy and disturb my sleep My friends live all other the province and it would be difficult for me to get to some of them without outside assistance.
If I'm away from home for awhile, I might have to talk with a friend's spouse if they're not there when I visit. I find it difficult to make small talk with people I don't know because I don't know them.
James seem friendly based on my two meetings with him even though I don't know him well. Same goes for Shelby's husband, Jack. However I don't know the other three husbands at all which could be problematic if I stayed with those friends
@Disneywoman i understand how it can be difficult for you to be away from home and how there may be some accessibility issues as well as perhaps awkward moments if your friends are not at home when you go visit them
I was talking about staying over night at friends' places for more then one night. Like for instance Carmen works nights on Wednesday-Fridays (I don't know about the weekend) but she's home on Monday and Tuesdays. So if I was to hypothetically sleep over at her place for a couple of days and nights - that when James came home on Wednesday, Thursday or Fridays nights - I might have to make small talk with him, but that is a bit awkward because I barley known him. Technically I barley knew Carmen as well- because we weren't close in high school I mean maybe I might start playing with the children to kind of not having to make small talk in James' Case?
