Relationship advice
Hello,
Ive done the horrible thing of cheating on my partner, for the second time. She’s struggling to understand how we can carry on and I’m trying my best to show her that it’s worth carrying on. Every year around October I start to do stupid out of character things. For years it was gambling then dating sites. Money isn’t a problem and my partner is a real looker and has everything you would want. So why am I doing this continuously. I work for around 9/10 months and it’s at the point where I’m finishing in October these events start to occur. I can’t explain it and just wondered if anybody had any similar experiences

You may feel you are missing something?
What is GF doing in October..... just working like normal and does not have time if you have finished you work for the year and have time on your hands. I can see if she has year round type job she may not be free to do all you want.... cheating IMO is not about looks or such but fulfilling a need you do not feel is being met.
Something is missing in your relationship. Or you’re still just young and want to experience life and explore your sexual preference. You’re not fulfilled intimately with your partner.
you have to do yourself and her the favor and figure out if you’ll keep sleeping with other people. She does not deserve that hurt, and you don’t deserve the anxiety you’re creating for yourself. Everyone makes mistakes, but at some point she’s going to leave and you’ll never see her again.
@godders75 i had the same thing going on but i ddint fully really cheat i was just being friendly
Mine was online stuff but still class it as cheating. Never had any intention of meeting up I suppose it was exciting but at the same time I was feeling low because of what I was doing. I just can’t get my head round it
The cheating is online stuff not physical but it’s still cheating. I’m 49, so not young and my partner doesn’t work so she’s around most of the day anyway. As for not being fulfilled that maybe something, we have taken each other for granted and don’t discuss our wants and needs.
@godders75
I think you got it ... people do take their partners for granted nothing seems new or exciting.....we assume we know what they want or need but often miss the mark on that.
no flirting , sexy jokes and talk of what you could would do stuff........ that seems to happen in online communication. do you feel it is emotional cheating then?
Imagine the conversations you have with your online friend could you have same type of discussion with partner? why or why not?
My guess is your online friend appreciates you/ maybe compliments you.... we lose that in long term relationships.
