My 7 year relationship ended a couple of months ago. My boyfriend already had someone else lined up before he told me he was done and wasnt happy, and he wanted to do his own thing. It happened all of a sudden and I didnt see it coming. We share a 5 year old daughter together and it is super hard dealing with all the changes. I have never been this hurt and trying to make it through each day. Im really struggling to get over it while it seems he has moved on. I know she had been around my daughter already and I cant stop the intrusive thoughts and obsessing over what is going on in his life. I know I have to move on but its so hard when I have to stay in contact because of our daughter. I dont really have anyone who understands this situation and anyone who can give some insight or encouragement that has been through this would be greatly appreciated! I have started some meds and I am talking to a therapist and that helps some, but I am a very anxious person and its exhausting dealing with this brain of mine.

@niknik361

I am so sorry he did this to you 🩷

No wonder you are so anxious and overwhelmed.

And trying to navigate things with your daughter too.

That's alot for anyone to wrap their heads around.

I'm glad you are getting help and support.

One day at a time.

I hope you start to heal 🩷

My goodness i am so sorry to hear of the pain you are going through! Your heart is broken and especially since this is a shock to you that is terribly hard to go through. It’s important that you feel your emotions and try not to hold them back. You can cry, be angry, be sad, mourn the loss, think of the happier days, think of the bad times…. Whatever and that’s what your mind is going to do. I’m happy to hear you are talking to a therapist. That is the best start to healing. Undeniably this is going to be a difficult time for you but I promise…. I have been through this kind of situation a time or two…and i know that it just takes time. Sometimes there are no answers to the endless questions that you may want to ask him… and that is the toughest part. Especially the betrayal. But you will overcome this! I promise. And it’s hard to believe but you’ll be in love again someday and look at this differently. But for now take very good care of yourself. Bunny slippers, pampering, spend good time with your daughter, extra quality time with her! And repeat repeat repeat. I send hugs your way and just know that there is strength in solitude and even though the future seems muddy right now it will all become clearer with each passing day. Let him go~ he made his choice. Be a graceful woman and focus on you and your daughter.
