My husband, who tells everyone outside of our home how proud he is of me for going to school, working (up until recently), and dealing with some major health issues but tells me that I need to think about my family (my classes are scheduled for when my kids are in school and he is working), that I should have never gone to school or at least waited 12 years for our kids to graduate. He also told me I'm not supposed to work on school when he is home, talk about it or really let him know I'm even doing it.

@N0tw0rth1t I'm sorry that he's not supportive of your choices. This issue should really be addressed before it gets worse, because I guarantee you, if he keep lashing out on you like that it can only get worse from here. You can talk about why he feels that way, but ultimately, the choice should be yours. It's your life, and you're not neglecting your family since you planned things in a way that allows you to care for the children as well. You're not a nanny or a maid, you have your own life and goals, it's healthy to exist outside of children care. And you're a couple, he should be caring for children too, why does the burden have to fall entirely on you.
Hear him out and try to understand where his feelings come from, but also stand your ground. It's healthy to have ambitions and projects outside of family.

@N0tw0rth1t Well, the fact that he says good things about you outside the house is already encouraging. But in fact, it can also say the same about him, because no husband wants to say bad things about his wife, compromising himself. Therefore, perhaps he is a little two-faced and definitely does not understand you or does not want to understand you. But. You have the right to do what you want, to be yourself, to live the way you think is adequate and, of course, you need to seek compromises. But still, he is clearly manipulating you, and this is not great. So try to control yourself and remain yourself, not giving in to his provocations.
