Should I have a serious conversation?
Hey everyone,
I (25F) met a guy(39M) on an online chatting site. We are both from different countries. We instantly clicked and had conversations for hours together. We spent the first two months or so chatting non stop. We always had a free flow of conversation. The flow of conversation slowed a little after that since he got busy at his work. And our initial practice of staying up late to talk was taking a toll on our work days, so we chatted for fewer hours. Now our conversations are very slow and spread across the day. Initially he never went offline without saying good night or even if he fell asleep, he told me the next day that he fell asleep. Now even if I've asked something or said something, the good morning next day just ignores the previous conversation.
We've started s*xting each other around 2 or 3 months into our talking and it's quite honestly very good. However, they were times when he went away in the middle of it too and the conversation started newly the next day. I've started to like him as a romantic interest and seriously considered meeting him in person very soon.
However, the lack of efforts these days makes me wonder if he's lost interest or if he's just busy. His work is demanding, yet talking to people and reading up online all I learnt was that if a man is interested he'll make the effort even if he's busy. I don't want him to stop his work and cater to me, just a text that he's busy would make me feel better instead of overthinking. I'm wondering if I should put in the effort and tell him how I feel or just let the conversation die? While I like the guy, I don't want to lose myself and my self respect in pursuing someone who is not interested.

The thing is with LD is we simply do not know what is going on ... time difference?
real life issues like work family etc..... then there are the worst case some who do LD have more then One friend and when it is new or hot and heavy with a newer fling..... i think you can ask in a simple fashion of saying hey it seems you are very busy and not as much time for texting etc.
Thank you! This has been my first LD so it's been confusing, this makes it clearer.
I actually did ask him if our communication has gone down and he agreed that we weren't talking much because of him being busy with his work. Which is understandable. We've been doing regular texting after work now. It has slowed down a little more since I am also busy. But hopefully that's all it is.
