Single Mom Dating
Hello there. Two days ago my boyfriend of 1.5 years and I broke up. He basically ghosted me ever since and won’t reply or even talk to me. My kids met him, he was living with us for almost a year. He refuses to talk to me and refuses to say goodbye to them. My younger daughter took that very hard, he just became so cold so quick - I regret bringing him into their life bc of the lacK of concern for their well being is heart breaking. I am struggling with such deep guilt and the sense of failure as a single mom. I thought I was being carful of who I let in their lives, he’s the only person since their dad that they have met. Any experiences single moms out there who can offer some advice on how to cope with this? I feel like I should just stay single until they move out which is very very depressing to accept

This is a reality of dating. Kids may not like or like the person your are dating. sudden end and ghosting plays a part in your situation.
It is hard if the relationship does not work for family or friends who make friends or bond with someone. A person who we grew to like are no longer in our lives too. This is an issue for so many when a person in our life has a relationship and if it ends we feel like we too lost a friend etc.
There is no one way to avoid this. Even as adults, Kids may or may not approve of who ever you date. Perhaps this is a situation you can talk to your kids about this issue, as they may encounter similar situations a few times in their life.
