Have you ever experienced being the only one fighting for your relationship? Putting in all the effort, giving as much love as you can, supporting, and always giving even when there’s nothing in return? Being cheated on, not receiving assurance, not feeling valued, important, or loved? Always treated like an option, with him having time for his friends but not for you? He says he needs to prioritize his family over me, even though I treat him like part of mine, but to him, I’m just someone else. Feeling ignored, forgotten, but still staying? How did you all manage to get out of that kind of relationship? It’s getting worse. There's nothing left in me. All the love I gave was returned with nothing but pain. Yet, I'm still the one who's blamed just because of how I reacted. 😢

Hello. It's sad to hear about how you feel now...
I am afraid there is no quick and easy answer for that. All the same, I believe the problem is not: "why this person treats you like that?", but: "why you let anyone treat you like that?".
It sounds as if your self-esteem were very low, to the point while being with a person who neglects you, cheats on you, ignores you and does not respect you comes to some kind of an "emotional self-harm".
I don't know your personal story, but some people - like me - grew up in toxic families, where they were always depreciated, made guilty, referred to as always being "not enough", where our value as a person was denied, we had no rights and we lived to satisfy others. We were too young and helpless to face that, so we came to believe what our parents said about us must have been nothing but true.
But now we have a choice of being with people who appreciate us, love us and respect us, and our presence makes a significant positive difference in their lives. To not harm ourselves, but flourish and grow.
How do you think, had there been any past events of your life that could have made YOU accepting anybody treat you not right?
