I am a 17 year old girl. I and a guy were friends for about four years. We are the same age. One day I felt admiration towards him. I was also almost sure that he loved me, and in order not to be in a relationship that had no meaning, I confessed to him that I didn’t see him as just a friend, but I didn’t confess anything. However, he told me that he loved me, and so I gave our relationship a chance. He cared a lot about me, but as time passed, this admiration ended, and I also confessed to him that I no longer felt anything towards him, and he still didn’t love me. I feel guilty towards him, and I still haven’t. Our relationship continues, but without a name.

It sounds like you are confused as to where you stand on this relationship. You know, that's OK. I've found in life that things don't fit into nice "boxes", there's nearly always grey areas. Where does friendship end and intimate couple begin? I'm not sure anyone can tell you. So go ahead and define it for yourself. There's as many different ways to "do" a relationship as there are birds in the sky. The important thing is to find the way that feels good to you. Unfortunately the media and culture tend to suggest that there is a right way to do relationships. So, often a good question is, do I believe this is wrong, or am I just thinking its wrong because that is what I've been told?
If you are not being harmed, taking your time can be a good option. You will make the right decision at the right time for you.
Best wishes.
