@devonparks200 from a polyamorous perspective, I believe that humans are not necessarily meant to restrict positive connection to one person only. Finding a great connection - romantic, sexual or whatever - with a person doesn't it's impossible or wrong to also find it in other people. Just as a parent can love more than one child, a person can love more than one partner.
Yes, it can be demanding and it requires a lot of responsibility and honest communication between all parties involved, but why give up on the possibility to connect with people that match you well? Monogamy is just one of the possibility, it's not inherently better or more moral than others.

To me, children are different than an open relationship.  I do not want to share my wife, and I am sure I would not ask her to share me.  A desire to be "open" might change if you could get to the issues, possible root causes for not travelling together that make you want to have "open" as a solution.  One relationship managing stress is enough for me; cannot imagine trying to tackle honesty, integrity, emotional commitment, etc. in multiples.  Trust you will be doing better.  One symptom of "better" will be less stress and less pain.

@devonparks200

I am against. I cannot imagine a relationship growing and based on trust without being devoted to and concentrated on a single person.

I believe it could end up in a split personality for me and in some serious mental issues for my partner.
