Was I in the wrong
My bf a week and a half ago tried to commit but I called the cops and he was found in time. During this time he was in a facility for a week and during that time I had no contact with him and he didn’t wanna speak with me which is understandable. His mom concerned wanted to take him back home ( we were living together in a different state) because she was worried and says we’re just toxic together so she asked where I was gonna go implying I wasn’t allowed to go back with her and my bf. I understood because she just wants what’s best for her son and for him to stay a live. I decided to fly out to my mom in a different state because I had no where else to go and no money. I am now being blamed for the end of our relationship because I decided to leave for my partners well being but was planning to let him heal and hopefully we could return together like in a month or so. I did what I thought was right in the moment and my bf well now ex says I chose to leave knowing he would’ve wanted me to stay and that it’s my fault. I’m not wrong right? I didn’t want cross boundaries with his mom and be in a home I wasn’t invited too. We are now not talking because he went off on some random small thing and he said he doesn’t care if he doesn’t talk to me or not after the night before he was saying he loved me. So stressful I love him and wish him nothing but the best. I hope I find someone who will just love me right without being asked too.
@Priscella
Priscella, it sounds like you were put in an incredibly difficult and emotional situation, and you made a decision that you believed was best for both you and your partner's well-being at the time. Here are a few points to consider in response to what you're feeling:
Prioritizing Safety and Well-being: Your decision to call the police when your boyfriend attempted to commit suicide was a critical step in ensuring his safety. You acted out of concern and care for him, which is commendable.
Respecting Boundaries: It's understandable that you respected his mother's wishes and chose not to impose yourself in their home. Navigating such situations can be delicate, and you made a choice that you believed would be respectful and supportive.
Guilt and Responsibility: It's common to feel guilt in situations like these, but it's important to recognize that you did what you felt was right given the circumstances. You cannot be blamed for the end of the relationship solely because you prioritized safety and respected boundaries.
Self-Care and Moving Forward: It's clear from your message that you have deep feelings for your ex-partner and genuinely want the best for him. However, it's also important to prioritize your own emotional well-being. You deserve to be with someone who loves and supports you unconditionally.
Closure and Healing: It's understandable that you're feeling stressed and hurt right now. Give yourself time to heal from this experience. Surround yourself with supportive friends and family who can provide comfort and perspective.
In summary, Priscella, you acted with compassion and concern for your partner's safety. You made a decision based on what you believed was best in a challenging situation. Your feelings are valid, and it's important to focus on your own healing and well-being moving forward. If you ever need someone to talk to or support, don't hesitate to reach out to trusted friends or a counselor who can provide guidance.🤗
