What to do in this situation?
I have surgery on April 2nd, and I've been telling friends and family. I was in a relationship last year that lasted well over one year. My mistake in giving her 19-year-old cat an earlier dose of her medication resulted in having to euthanize her the day the relationship ended. It's been seven months since I've seen her. But we sort of stay in touch.. the last time I spoke to her. I called her twice because I was concerned. |texted her to make sure she was ok. But she told me to leave her alone. That was February and we haven't spoken since. I want to tell her that I will be having surgery, but I don't think it's the right move because she might think I'm asking for pity.
I hope the surgery and healing go well.
Why is it you want to tell her about it? Is it to share life news? Are you trying to rekindle the relationship?
My concern is that she's told you to leave her alone and hasn't reached out to you. Hearing this operation news, might make her feel obligated to respond when she's possibly not wanting too.
Maybe she's trying to move on and make a clean break. Are there other people in your life that could support you instead?
I wish you all the best, whatever you decide :)
I've decided not to tell her. We haven't spoken since January and I will keep it like that.
@Trixmx618 Fair enough, take good care of yourself
