I went on a date with a guy and came home with him. I stayed because I couldn’t go back to my apartment. (The reason because I forgot my keys at home and my roommate didnt answer my phone at the time, I could have gone but we had a nice date and I thought it was no harm to stay with him).

At night he tried to have sex with me, I push him away and keep sleeping as I take sleeping pi.lls to sleep.

Was it sexual assault? My pants were down but I don’t think he put it in yet.

My now partner doesn’t believe that story, he said I don’t have any victim reaction or trauma respond. He said I lied about it and slept with him instead.

He said no one that was assaulted and then go on another dates shortly after.

He said I’m a liar who just sleeps with men on first date instead.

@independentCamp7987 yes, it was sexual assault. Sexual assault doesn't just mean unwanted penetration, it includes any sexual contact or attempt to have sexual contact without the agreement of all people involved. Whether he touched you or not, you did not agree to have him strip you of your clothes. If a person randomly started stripping another person's clothes in a public setting without asking, we would all agree it's assault: why should it be any different when it happens inside a house?
What you went through was assault, regardless of how you reacted: not everyone reacts in the same way, there is no right or wrong "victim reaction".
If your current partner doubts your words and accuses you instead of recognizing the real culprit, he doesn't respect you and there can be no relationship without basic respect.

Please, don't let anyone minimize what happened. Don't be afraid to stand for yourself. You did not deserve that assault and do not deserve these accusations. What you deserve is empathy and respect.
