disappointed that I don't get Friday off from Supper
I'm disappointed that I don't get Friday off from making supper. I haven't had a day off making supper since the end of July.
Story:
We're having Chinese food today because it's my Mom's birthday. We order Chinese food on the birthday/ non Turkey holidays and have the leftovers another day. In the past if someone's birthday or the hoilday was any other day then Friday, we would have the leftovers on Friday- which means I get a day off cooking.
I only had 2 Fridays off this summer from cooking supper both because of Disabled summer camp. One time i was too full to eat. The other time Mom made supper which I ate. Mom and I are going to be in Bard's town from Sept 1st to Sept 3rd. So Mom's wants to have Chinese food on Sunday.
I can't remember the last time I had the day off prior to Disabled Summer camp. Heck if Luna even came to visit (which she hasn't since Christmas) I could get Fridays off. But I want to have one Friday in the pool where I can stay in longer then I normally do on Fridays when I cook without having to prepare the veggies before hand. Especially when I don't have anyone else to help put my swim gear out on the clothesline. Which means supper takes even longer.
Last week It's took twice as long to make supper because I was in the middle of making supper when I had to take the swim gear out to the clothesline because of Luna's clothes hogging the space on the clothesline.
Mom thinks I will have the "day off" to cook on Sept 11th, but I would still have to cook for myself that night and the next night. So doesn't count as having a day off from supper. We just had Harvey's Monday August 17th . Dad wouldn't allow me to get a hot dog again if we did Harvey's again on that day. Not that I would want a hot dog when I can get one on Sunday Sept 13th instead at church.
It's just I need a break and even before DSC I haven't had any break in a very long time. I wouldn't mind not cooking for one day. I have the other 11 months of the year to cook. But I don't have many months to swim in the backyard pool.
I can't be upset infront of Mom today because it's her birthday. So I have to be upset up here instead.
