i am just trying to get a different perspective…
hey i am not sure why i am writing this here but maybe someone went through something similar. how do you fix insecurities while in a relationship? ive been getting past some issues i have had witth my boyfriend and i feel slightly better- especially since i feel he is understanding and on the same page. but today we did have a conversation about understanding where we both stand in a certain personal situation. he says he does not do certain things because he respects me and my boundaries about it, but feels that talking about it is silly and dumb when i ask because he says it wont change my opinion on it. i told him i am just processing it and trying to heal and grow from it, and any time i feel like i am getting better something always happens and i just need reassurance. is it wrong for me to think that my mindset is not necessarily set on a certain topic? i think my past experiences have reflected my current thoughts on this topic but it’s definitely not what i want it to be. i definitely want to be open with this certain topic and i want to explore it. he thinks my experiences does not have that effect and it is genuinely what my mindset is. does someone have any advice?

can it be the men vs women thing.? .. I think that is what I have with my partner .... he plays along like he gets things but when I want to talk and share he just thinks it is silly or something. It would help if i could share my growth with him but he is not interested in those changes.
We are all a work in progress and we do change our perspectives and thoughts........It happens slowly so those around us do not always see it clearly.......and for some reason some do not appreciate our change. or maybe they do not want us to either. This IMO is why we sometimes reach out to someone else because we want perspective as we go thru things.... it is lonely when we have no one to share ... especially because they are here but not listening.
