hi guys, i just need some advice on my relationship with the father of my child/

I gave birth in 2023. i moved in with him immediately after and 4 months later im kicked out. of course i take fault as well. i was leaving a few diapers and bottles here and there and having his mom stay w the baby on nights where she worked the next morning. i didn’t pay any rent as well and was overusing his moms groceries since i was also breastfeeding for a while. He also told me he was lonely and he was on maternity leave so there wasn’t much for him to do. it was also winter and he gets hit with seasonal depression around that time.

between the time we stopped talking and and started talking again it was only 2 months. since then we’ve been hanging out together and doing couple things again. few months later his ex texts him but he tells me it’s just her checking up on him, i ignore it.

Fast forward to last month, i find out he was hanging out w his ex as soon as i left his house and getting every woman’s number at the clubs. i saw pictures of him and his ex together at the gym and going to her relatives parties with him. (i should also add they added each other on social media a week after i gave birth) but this was all during the time i was at my moms house depressed and our baby was also sick. He didnt come by to see the baby because he was afraid of my dad

but from what i saw he stopped doing all BS 4 months ago

anyways i just don’t know if i should let it go and move on since it seems like he changed.

Hello. I am sorry you are going through this. I know this isn’t easy, especially with a young child. In this situation, I do not want or have the right to say stay or leave. I will say that it is important to take care of yourself and your child. If he is not supportive or doesn’t help or add positivity to your life then only you can make the decision. Please do not stay in a situation or relationship that is draining. You deserve to be happy.

that’s kind of what has me confused. he’s always been supportive and added positivity even when talking to those other women behind my back so i never was able to tell when he would be doing something sneaky. my trust with him is low and i feel like he deserves effort from me but then again what if he just goes back doing what he did before.

@katemarieeex3

Trusting someone is very hard especially when they have hurt you. If you do decide to stay and work it out, take it slow but do not let your guard down. I feel that most men will do or say anything to keep you for selfish reasons. They do not like when you do to them what they do to you. Not all men are like that, but good ones are hard to find or come in an unexpected package. You have to do what is best for you mentally. I am learning that the hard way. I am always here if you need a listening ear.
