what do i do
there is this guy at work and i see him everyday when he signs in for like 2 minutes and i had been starting small conversations with him. i got his *** in late January so we started texting and we hung out a couple times. so i asked him if he likes me and he said yes but he doesn’t want a relationship rn which is fine bc i like being on my own. we have been texting like normal but last night he lagged on me for 8 hours then said “ i thought i responded😭” do you think it’s because he forgot or bc he doesn’t want to talk anymore. bc that’s something i say when i don’t want to talk to someone. i know he said he didn’t want a relationship but this is the first guy i have liked since my ex

I believe 2 things are key to successful relationships. Communication and trust. You admit that you communicate things that you don't mean. And now you have found out that this means that you can't trust what others communicate.
This guy has told you that he doesn't want anything serious. Stressing after 8 hrs sounds like you are taking it serious. To this outsider it certainly looks like you have set yourself up for disappointment.
I hope I am wrong and that everything works out the way you want it to.
