Different Futures
So I am in a long term relationship of several years now. We have lived together for almost two years and plan to move cross country soon. My partner wants to sit down and talk about our future goals together. I love everything we have now but I know what we want is a little different. They want to settle down and have kids. I want to keep chasing dreams and opportunities and I do not want children at all. I don’t know what this means for our future together but I also don’t want to risk anything we have right now.

It is challenging when you're faced with such different goals in a happy relationship. I hope you are both able to find an acceptable way forward. Best wishes to you
My advice is live your dreams. If it’s meant to work out with him, it will. Either now or in the future. The best thing is that you actually know what you want in life. I got married at 22 and only discovered later what I wanted. I have 3 kids and love them dearly and planned all 3 pregnancies with my husband. But I had kids when I wanted to, not because I felt rushed or pushed into it. Right now I’ve been married 15 1/2 years and am at a crossroads for divorce and chase my dreams or stay and not get my needs met. I say you go for your dreams because no matter how much you love someone, regrets will one day come back to haunt you.
