Feeling left behind
Most recently, I have been noticing that a lot of my friends have been too busy to do things with me. Other than getting together at birthday celebrations and some other things, we don't really hang out. They also never seem to make it to any of the parties that I plan.
One of them even said he was coming at first and then bailed on me for another party after I cancelled me. Therefore, I thought he got word that the event was cancelled and was invited me to go to this other party. When I tried to tell him I was hurt, he said "Well you have a boyfriend, and these friends." That said, I don't think he understood where I was coming from.
For example, I tried to create a small super bowl party which only two friends said yes to. Everyone else seemed to either have other plans or didn't like football. Whereas a decade ago, more people loved my parties and now it's like I am a joke.

First please don't feel left behind by your friends and don't be disappointed with yourself and your party. Because in today's busy society, everyone's life and schedule are different, and they may be really busy and not be able to come to your event at the same time. Over time, friendships need to be strengthened by regular contact. I can understand how uncomfortable it is to suddenly be stood up by someone when you've made all your plans and looked forward to seeing someone for a long time. I support you to communicate and express your emotions in a timely manner after being stood up, which is convenient for you to understand the reason and feelings of the other after being stood up. Whether it was intentional or not is an important indicator of how the other person feels about your friendship. After expressing your hurt, the other person still doesn't do anything about it. That's a trade-off. Because two or more people are involved in this friendship, your own feelings are also important, and you should make reasonable trade-offs according to your own heart. In fact, it is also good to have a small party with only two people, because you can communicate better with each others! The happiness of the party is not decided by the number of people but whether the people who attend the party really value the party and enjoy the party. I always believed that all the parties you threw would be great!

Thank you for responding, I attempted to re-invite one friend over, that said, I ended up getting a migraine when they came over. Therefore, I sent him home and watched the game and all the commercials alone which I turned out to be good.
What I was most upset about that the fact that I was not able to watch the game with my boyfriend because he started a new job. However, V-day was last Monday so go figure.
As for my friends, I was able to see them this past Sunday which was great.
