How do you break up with someone you've been with for 4 years

So I've been dating this guy for 4 years we are in a distance relationship with these past few years me and him haven't been talking and I don't think this relationship is working for us I want him to be happy but how do you break up with someone you've been with for years 4? I need some tips or advice

Just be honest with him! Tell him how you feel and that you don’t mean to hurt his feelings in any way.

@sadRayRay Hello there, if i were you id thinbk about if you truly love him. If you come to the conclusion that you dont love him anymore than i would advise you to just tell him your feelings because who can blame you for how you feel and love, its an uncontrollable emotion.
