I confessed
I confessed I had feelings to this guy I have been having some very deep feelings for for some time..he responded unexpectedly saying it was a big shock..he’s not said either way whether he reciprocates or not..and ended his reply with a lighthearted joke.
im unsure what this means, he’s recently been through a breakup of a long term relationship as well as problems at home..he has a lot going on? I don’t know how to interpret this at all. Please help.
Maybe he will think today about whatever you said to come up across a decision as you said he went through a lot,and as you said he went through a lot hence i guess he must be knowing that being so quick to such decision may not be good.
Hence you can look for him tomorrow and see if he says anything by himself or else, you can give more 2-3 days then if he doesn't respond even after 2-3 days then go and directly ask because unless and untill you will get to know the result your mind will overthink more.
But yeah do remember to take every steps properly like as how i said.
Good luck and take care

Sometimes these things need time to be processed…meanwhile how brave of you!!
You took a chance and that is awesome.
Maybe in a day or two you’ll get some more feedback…good luck
@lovingBirch549 Hello, thank you for sharing your experience. I believe that you know him better than I do, so perhaps you can ask him to talk in another time he is feeling calm so you can give some closure and resolve your doubts. Have a nice day.

Its risky confessing to people after they have just experienced a breakup from a serious relationship. Not because they might not reciprocate your feelings, but because even if they actually do you can never be certain that they are not just rebounding, or that they do not have any unresolved feelings for their ex.
If you have a relationship with him you want to be sure that he’s in the right state of mind and emotional state to have a healthy relationship. Otherwise it might feel like your relationship will seem to be filled with doubts and emotional baggage at some point (commonly this is what usually happens when people get into relationships too soon after breaking up).
It’s good that you’re honest with your feelings; but I think the timing is problematic when he’s got a lot of other things to process.
