I don't want to feel anymore

I'm not sure if it's love or if it's obsession, but I feel like it's an obsession. I love my partner a lot. Everything about him, everything in detail, I would dedicate my whole life to him and it almost felt like I did. Until my best friend told me that I don't live for someone. It made sense I think. I have some free time that I could use, studying, working, instead I would spent all my time with him. But I know that he doesn't feel the same. Am I just weirdly romantic? I could look at him for hours. I spent hours doing things for him. Sometimes I wish he would do the same for me. He's so special to me. I don't want those feelings.

Try getting rid of the tendency to look at your partner religiously. It’s easy to do when you’re in love, but it’s not healthy for so much of your emotional state to be tied to anyone else. Try picking up a new book, hobby, or exercise trend to take your mind elsewhere. Working on becoming the best version of yourself is all you can do to keep control. Your partner became interested because you were an individual with a life and hobbies , stay true to you!

Thank you a lot for your reply it's really what I needed. Especially that he loves me as an individual. I think love can make people forget about themselves easily. I'll try to get back to my hobbies and work on my own goals.
