I feel like I’m going to need to go home and get treatment

Given What I’ve come to realize about my previous relationship and not having healed from that loss I feel I need to go back home and heal more, focus on finishing my degree. I don’t know how the heck to tell my partner I need to stay there for a bit. I have no idea how. I feel I’ve caused him to have to have too much responsibility and I can’t just leave him with it (cats, household stuff). He has indicated in the past that he and our roommate would’ve rented something cheaper or not as fancy if it hadn’t been for my standards. So I needless to say I feel guilty even though he’s paying for it I feel like if I’m not here I’m doing a disservice to him by not enjoying it or utilizing it even though it’s stressing me out madly right now to be here. I feel like I’m going to eventually crumble if I don’t take time for myself. This isn’t a working number if I keep it going like it is. I want to spend time with my parents while I can.

the only good excuse I have is that I have an online job that should be picking up when the school semester starts (I haven’t gotten my schedule yet) that I’m only technically allowed to do from my home state so that will sound like a valid reason but idk how to truly tell him I need to take some time for me now or I’m going to completely crumble and burn out. I don’t know how to say it without hurting him but I don’t know how to keep going without hurting me.

I want to maybe find some mental health help while I’m there and get some kind of group therapy maybe or outpatient treatment idk but my insurance should work there better too. I just feel I can’t tell him honestly about it

@heatlightning

Well, I would always prefer my partner to be honest with me even if it hurt. You owe it to him to be honest and you owe it to both of you to take care of yourself. And if he cares about you, he will understand and support you even if it's hard. :)
