I liked this guy for 6 years and IDK what to do
Okay, so I am a teenager and I have liked this boy for over six years at this point. I have given ques that I liked him over this time period and he’s only said hi to me twice in this six year period. So now that I’m older, I’ve been questioning if it was really worth it because I didn’t know him. He was just cute and seemed nice. Maybe a little awkward but that’s fine. Finally, he came over and said hi. I was playing the piano and so he started talking about the music he liked. That’s fine, I love music. But then…. He didn’t stop talking.
Not once did he seem to breathe in an hours conversation, but it wasn’t really a conversation because I couldn’t get a word in. Even my brother could tell that I was bored and annoyed and I was trying soo hard to be nice but using quite literally everything I knew to get the message through to him that I was done listening to him talk. I probably should have just said something ( I likely would have if it wasn’t for that fact that I really like his sisters and don’t want to lose them as friends.)
My brain feels like mush and I can’t understand why, but I have a few theories. 1. He’s extremely socially awkward, even though he says he’s comfortable talking with girls more that with guys. 2. He hasn’t ever had a girl try to listening to him or Both 1. And 2. I don’t know what to do from here or if I should do anything. I wanted to get to know him, but I didn’t want to know everything all smushed into a hour. And it probably wouldn’t have been as bad if he had let me get a word in.
I am a lot of person in my short stature and I don’t know if he could handle it. I mean, it took him six years to finally try talking to me and when he did, he couldn’t stop.

Hey Leo! It seems like there is a possibility that he may also like you, but you may have to be the one wiling to take the step and either confess how you feel about him after all these years or continue to wait until he approaches you and says that he likes you too. Having crushes on persons can be unpredictable and leave you with more questiosn than answers. Especially if you've been giving out cues to him that you like him, but he's not acknowledging them. Given the few interactions that you two have had, you will have to make the choice on whether or not you want to continue to keep him as a crush or try to see if there is more than a crush between you and him. Good luck with everything!

@CheeryMango Thank you f ro the response! I would love to confess as I'm just that kind of person, but there are a few things that are keeping me from doing that. 1. We don't see each other that often, its just that when we do, sparks fly and I think he feels it too. 2. I don't want the family group to judge me for saying something. and 3. I've started to notice that I have some vulnerability issues and I need to work through them, I 'm just not sure how. Thank you for the response and advice, it's much appreciated!
