Hello. I will take any advice I will get. Basically.. my partner and I have been in a rocky place. I haven't talked to them in 4 weeks and it's been hard on me. I don't keep up with them and don't know what they have been doing. Basically this started because I was mentally declining due to some issues I was dealing with since November 2021. I felt like they started straying away from me and not willing to help me anymore.. it's been a constant battle for me and it's been hard trying to concentrate. I just sit and cry sometimes.. I have been doing things for myself that make me really happy but I'm still going back to the fact that they don't care about me anymore and to be honest it does feel that way and I have told them how i felt about it. How they're not emotionally available for me.. and can't be there for me when I ask and when I need it the most but they would rather do other things because "their world does not revolve around me" and since then our relationship has been rocky. They have been very indecisive on what they want to do with the relationship. but we haven't spoken or seen each other since end of December. I will take and advice. Anything! thank you if you read this. I really appreciate it.

Hello.

Although I haven't been in a relationship for a long time now, but when I look at a general relationship between any two human beings; I've come to realize some things. Not everyone is emotionally attached to themselves, that there are people who are afraid to face their own emotions (let alone, another persons'), majority of men feel more vulnerable and not "manly" if they tend to their emotions..

I'd like to think that these people have probably been through something in their childhood times, that resulted them in bottling up their emotions. I've know some people in the past, where when I revealed my emotional states to them, they back away (friendship ends there). I'd like to believe that in a relationship, the most ideal, is that both parties are in-touch with their emotions, willing the share and face them together. Some people need to be "taught" how to deal with emotions, they need to be "educated" on what an emotion is and how it can be faced.

Maybe you can try talking to your partner on a deeper level, but don't dump everything upon them at once. Do it little by little, testing out the waters. See how they react, then work your way through and connect with them. If this is a relationship where you both want to keep going, effort needs to be put in by both of you.

I hope things work out for you and your partner~
