My anxiety is bad help
im 15, and I just started a relationship with my online friend of a year. I’m insanely happy about it, and I think that they are too. This is my first proper relationship, I was in an extremely short one about a year ago with another one of my friends but They practically forced me to be with them no matter how many times I said no. The person I’m with now Is my favourite person in the whole world, and they’re the first person that’s not fictional or famous that I actually had feelings for. I was constantly depressed before I met them and now I’m slowly starting to recover from that with their help. However I struggle a lot with anxiety and self confidence, I always feel like they’re going to find me annoying or not like me anymore. I’ve talked to them about it, and they said that they love me and would tell me if they didn’t like me anymore or if I do anything wrong because they love me. I was happy about that, but I always constantly feel worried that they don’t actually like me as I’m being too annoying. We’re planning to meet up next month, and I’m worried that they won’t like how I look in real life because I am extremely insecure about my looks. It just seems like no matter what I do my anxiety will always be with me and I hate it, I just want to be normal. I cant afford therapy and I just want to know what to do because I’m really confused 🙁
I read everything, all I concluded was that you are 15, and you are free and forgiven for everything, as there is always tommrow for you.
I have had my fare share of rejects at my teens, and crushes had told me I am fat, ugly to my face etc.
You seem like a very emotionally driven individual. It really matters for you what people think, and thats alright.
When you meet the person, try to have the mind set that it's not you on the stage, to be judged.
Its a first real life meet for both of you, you should expect him to be good to you too. His presentation towards you also matters.
I am not gonna be in denial here, looks matter in the fu*ked up wrold
But I have hope in the world and looks shouldn't be the deciding factor for if he wants to take this forward.
Be happy about this meet, this not just for him but both of you. You are a part of this relationship, and you do hold some level of authority, so don't be inteimedated.
That's my 2 cents,
Hope you have a lovely meet...
