I'm at a point I don't know what to do anymore. I love my guy and would do anything for him but I'm frustrated and I'm tired of being frustrated and I don't know how to tell when it's time to give up because I will run my self into the ground for someone I care about. I'm a 22 year old female and my guy is 26. We've had our ups and downs but for the most part everything has been good. He has a crazy busy schedule but we see eachother at least once a week. When we're together everything is great, it's when we're apart that problems arise. During the beginning of covid we were apart for 5 months and in that time we dealt with some infidelity on his part but we've manage to for the most part over come it. Just some days I deal with some resulting insecurities. We've been through a lot and overcome a lot and I'd hate to just throw in the towel now but one of my biggest isues lately is I often feel like if I bring up something that needs to be discussed I feel like he blows it off. The predominant issue at the moment is he's military and will be restationed in 8 months but refuses to talk about what happens next. When I ask about his thoughts on the future all he says is "I don't know this far out. I won't know where I'm going untill 3 months before and no decisions can be made untill I know" and that's all valid but I want him to give me some hypotheticals like what happens if he's over seas vs state side. Is he wanting me to move to be with him once my lease is up? I want to know that he's planning a future and not just going to leave me when he leaves the state but if I out right ask that he tends to ignore the question and that worries me. (Note it's also late at night when we get to have indepth convos so its more like he falls asleep and in the morning insted of addressing my previous question he just says good morning) Basically I'm asking for general advice as well as am I valid in asking these questions and wanting more that the responce he's giving? And should I just drop the topic untill we have his next orders and go from there? Also I sincerely apologize for how long this is xD

It’s perfectly normal to ask those questions of him. U seem to want a future with him and he cant answer some simple questions.. it may hard for him to answer them but blowing them off isn’t helpful. You do need to keep asking the important questions that u want a reply too.. it’s ur life to u want to see if he’s on the same page It can be frustrating I’m sure but for your relationship to be successful he has to be up front with u as u are with him

He’s basically drawing it out so you break up with him so he doesn’t have to. Also you stated he cheated and you forgive him. Anytime someone cheats and they notice that person still wants to be with them. It sets the tone for the remainder of the relationship. If he can’t even give you simple answers to simple questions about the relationship, then it’s time to let him go. Rather hurt and deal with it now then him cheating while on deployment etc or just one day breaking up with you out the blue etc. I hope you are strong enough to not allow him to string you along until he gets tired. Always remember you guys well never love each other at the same time. Meaning at one point his will be strong for you, while yours not as strong back and forth....
